Colin Cadby

A bank employee from Hove in Sussex who competed in the 1997 series. He was defeated in his heat by Tony Dart, who scored 30 points against David's 29. Because this series of Mastermind was shorter than usual, there was room for only one highest-scoring loser in the semi-finals, and that person happened to be Colin. The tables were turned - Colin beat Tony in the semi-final to become the only man in the female-dominated last Mastermind final of all. Colin's subject for the final was 'The Novels of Thomas Hardy' on which he scored a respectable 15, but this was not enough to beat the champion Anne Ashurst.
