Counterpoint

Counterpoint is a general knowledge music quiz on BBC Radio 4. Covering classical, with a smattering of jazz, show-tunes and pop, 27 members of the public compete to be the grand final winner. The current series of Counterpoint began on Monday 5 February 2001 1.30-2.00pm.

The presenter is Ned Sherrin (pictured) who also presents Loose Ends on Radio 4. He was born 18 February 1931 into a farming family in Somerset. He trained as a lawyer at Oxford University where he became involved in the theatre.
