Dennis Brown

Dennis' main achievement on Fifteen to One was a score of 302 in series 20. This gave him second place on the finals board to Rosemary Broome. This show has been repeated, and it was a particularly ammusing performance. To quote William G. Stewart at the end of his performance "And I think he actually enjoyed it!".
Another funny part of this show was when WGS described him as "Young Dennis.". Mr Brown responded with: "Thank you for the young."
(Will Jones).
Both Mike Billson and Dennis Brown are well-known figures on the Oxford quiz scene. I quizzed with both of them on a number of occasions while studying there. - Dennis lives in Headington, Oxford, and is an easily recognisable figure on the Oxford pub quiz scene. He competes with Mike Billson in a fairly invincible quiz team called "The Wobbly Watermen" who compete in the local pub quiz league.
(David Stainer).
Dennis Brown is not unfamiliar to a catchphrase or two of his own. "Err that reminds me of a story" being the at the foremost of them.
(Pete Stampede).
Superb Questions and Responses include:
Q. 'Water is the only substance to exist naturally on earth in three states. What are they?'
A. 'Solid, liquid, and gas'
(note: this is included as the answer was delivered superbly, the pitch being raised after each successive word.)
