Fifteen-to-One - Millennium Quiz 01

The "Fifteen to One Millennium Quiz" was shown on Christmas Day 1999, and featured 25 of the more than 25000 Contestants to have appeared on the show since it began.
The structure of this show was different to that of a normal game, with 10 extra Contestants. Each started with 100 points, and they were awarded 10 more for a correct answer, but minus 5 for an incorrect answer. The aim was to see who could amass the most points in the show.
Round one was the same, with two questions each. In the second round, each contestant faced 5 questions, with the person nominating being aware of the question category before they chose who should answer the question. The purpose of this was to cut the field down to 15 contestants, whilst making sure each contestant faced an equal number of questions. When this was completed, Round three eliminated a further 12 in the same way, so in the end, three Contestants were left to proceed to the Final Round. This was run in the same format as the Final Round in normal Fifteen to One Grand Finals. It involved Kevin Ashman, Barbara Thompson and Christopher Cooke.
The Millennium Quiz featured several famous playoffs, as there were too many people on the same score when it came to getting the number down to 15 and 3 respectively. These were performed by going round asking each contestant a question, with the situation decided by working out how many needed to be eliminated after each round. When too few / too many of the Contestants answer the questions correctly, another round is needed to progress or eliminate further Contestants.
The show was eventually won by Kevin Ashman who was also series 3 champion. In a masterful performance, he only got one question wrong in the whole program.
