Fifteen-to-One - Top 10s

Name: Dave Wakefield
From: Walsall
My favorite 15 to 1 players ever

1 Nick Terry cheeky smile, best ever player.
2 Philip Hardingham Cool, clever and a gentelman.
3 Michael Penrice Funny and normaly has three lives in tact at the end of round three.
4 Mattii Watton Young and local.
5 Amy Godel The best women ever.
6 Daphnie Fowler Proved the 432 wasent a fluke.
7 Helen Grayson Always look's like she's going to win.
8 Bill McKaig Can't remeber him but has been to more GF than Nick Terry.
9 Andrew Auger Was self-expressive.
10 Bill Gabett very underatted.

I'm only 12 so i cant remember to much about 15 to 1.

Name: Jacqui Hill
From: Oxford
Top 10 Things I remember about the filming:

1 Ian Botham & Kevin Keegan played for Scunthorpe I didn't know this. Apparently everyone else in the world does.
2 I know nothing about sport at all I also got caught on a boxing question.
3 Once you get one right you relax
4 Standing next to someone who is still drunk is very unnerving
5 Being surprised at the taped applause My mum was sitting in the front row *desperate* to clap
6 Finding out who your opponents are is not a good idea I got fazed by being up against Ian Potts.
7 Hindsight is everything. I could have got Ian Potts knocked out at the end of round 2 if I'd realised.
8 Getting nervous and speaking before thinking is not always a good idea.
9 No 7 is a great place to stand - you're behind William G. Stewart in most shots
10 The hotel has the *nicest* vegetables I've ever eaten. :)

I came second to Ian Potts in series 17 after he won 16... I only discovered who he was at half-time and it freaked me completely out! It didn't help that the bloke stood next to me was still drunk from the night before (it was the 1st show of the day) and kept threatening to throw up on me.... Still, I've applied for another go, not put off by the nonsense I spouted in the last few qs last time.

Name: Emery McAllister
From: Portsmouth
William G. Stewart's '15 to 1' Catchphrases
(My personal choice)

1 It is, as it has to be...
2 They don't come much better than that
3 If only you could see through this card!
4 Redhill in Surrey, Ashford in Kent
5 Ooooh! JUST on the buzzer!
6 Let's see how far that one life can take you
7 Laura?
8 You've saved me a long read
9 It's better to win 1-0 than to lose 4-5.
10 And guesses count.

comments: Ones that didn't quite make it include: 'Question or Nominate?', "Five down, ten to go, postcards only please and today's target is..." I would have liked to include 'and of the remaining Contestants', but had to exclude it on the technicality that it's Laura or Philip who says it on the show. "Bill..." was another one that regrettably couldn't be featured.

Name: Christian Lloyd
From: UEA
William G. Stewart's '15 to 1' Catchphrases 11-20

11 You can relax just a little!
12 Let battle - commence
13 We've been here before, young [name]!
14 That was pretty tough I must say
15 And when you've got your breath back...
16 You do know...
17 In my time?
18 Classic Margaret Thatcher, that!
19 321 points there somewhere...
20 And I think Laura - has something for you

Shameless rip-off of Emery McAllister's idea, I know.

Name: John Stokes

Top 10 Contestants:

1 Bill McKaig
2 Nick Terry
3 Michael Penrice
4 Christopher Bostock
5 Daphne Fowler
6 Kevin Ashman
7 Dag Griffiths
8 Trevor Montague
9 Martin Riley
10 Mal Collier

Comments:
Tough choice near the top, but Bill McKaig had to come top in the end. Nick Terry possibly deserves the much coveted top spot, but just misses out.

Name: Dan Usztan
From: Sheffield, UK.

Top 10 Contestants:

1 Trevor Montague
2 Simon Fuller
3 Chris Russon
4 Donald Yule
5 Kevin Ashman
6 Bill Francis
7 Barbara Thompson
8 Nick Terry
9 Mal Collier
10 Bill McKaig

Comments:

Difficult choice but I was at Trevor's grand final supporting Don Yule and he had a play-off with Simon Holmes and poor Simon was wiped away by Trevor's speed on the buzzer and just couldn't get in and it was obvious he was going to win if he reached the last three.

Trevor and his team have also just won the South-London quiz league for this year beating Donald's team and Kevin's team and he scored highest scores throughout the season in the most difficult league in the country.
