Les Arnott

Les Arnott, an education consultant from Sheffield beat off challenges from Phil Waldock and David Albinson to become Fifteen to One champion in the final of the grand final of series 27. He amassed 141 points in the process.

Les then became the first champion in the history of 15 to 1 to decline an invitation to defend his title. The explanation given by William G. Stewart was that he had chosen to 'quit while ahead'.
