Philip Lowrie

Philip Lowrie and Laura Calland are the two voice-overs on Fifteen to One. Laura also introduces the trophies and presents them in the grand final.

Seeing Philip on Fifteen to One is more of a rarity. I have seen him once on a special show called a 'Fifteen to One Scrapbook' which involved an in-depth look at some of the questions and a bit of a history lesson.

As well as being a voice-over, Philip also asks the questions at many (if not all) of the auditions.

Philip Lowrie (pictured (left)) was on Coronation Street, from 1960, where he played Elsie Tanner's scapegrace son Dennis. In the 1970s he appeared at Chichester Festival Theatre more than once -- I know this, because he used to learn his lines walking along the street and I nearly ran him over a couple of times.
